This project entailed the major refurbishment of a listed building and retail shop unit in the Devonport area of Plymouth. A significant part of the job included major structural works to the roof as well as a new extension to the rear, the subsequent reconfiguration of the existing layout and a complete refurbishment/upgrading of the existing services.

The following new facilities were also provided:

• Construction of 3 new apartments to decent homes standard.
• New office, stores and staff changing facilities.
• Installation of new windows.
• Installation of smoke activated rooflights.
• Specialist installations such as CCTV and fire alarm systems.
• New gas, electrical and water main services were installed into the building.

All this work was undertaken whilst the shop remained in full occupation.
